Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plassen: sailing on inland waters by Nicolaas Bastert was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaas Bastert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The river Vecht in Autumn in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 19,200.00.

Die Arbeit Plassen: sailing on inland waters von Nicolaas Bastert wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas Bastert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The river Vecht in Autumn im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.200,00.
