In January 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A rest along the river by Nicolaas Bastert. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,200.00 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicolaas Bastert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The river Vecht in Autumn in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 19,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A rest along the river von Nicolaas Bastert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.200,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolaas Bastert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The river Vecht in Autumn im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.200,00.
