Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A still life with roses (recto), Canalhouses (verso) by Nico van Rijn. The price achieved of EUR 1,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nico van Rijn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with chrysanthemums -, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 3,360.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with roses (recto), Canalhouses (verso) von Nico van Rijn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nico van Rijn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A still life with chrysanthemums - beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 3.360,00 versteigert wurde.
