Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Christies in London held the auction First Open Online, which included the work Untitled from the series Living Room by Nick Waplington. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,123.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nick Waplington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rock Pool No. 1, which sold at auction in May 2018 for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,270.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled from the series Living Room von Nick Waplington zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.123,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nick Waplington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rock Pool No. 1 beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.270,24) versteigert wurde.
