It achieved a price of EUR 30,240.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nick Brandt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007, which sold at auction in May 2018 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,639.03).

Die Arbeit Lion Before Storm II, Sitting Profile, Masai Mara, 2006 von Nick Brandt kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 30.240,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Nick Brandt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.639,03) versteigert wurde.
