Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Leopard in Crook of Tree, Nakuru by Nick Brandt. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,240.00 (€ 17,659.85). Admittedly, works by Nick Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,639.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leopard in Crook of Tree, Nakuru von Nick Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.240,00 (€ 17.659,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nick Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.639,03).
