Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Giraffes Battling in Forest, Masai Mara, 2008 by Nick Brandt was sold in the Photographies auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June this year. It achieved a price of EUR 13,860.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16 %. Admittedly, works by Nick Brandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,639.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Giraffes Battling in Forest, Masai Mara, 2008 von Nick Brandt wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographies bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 13.860,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nick Brandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.639,03).
