Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Photographies, which included the work Elephant Drinking, Amboseli, 2007 by Nick Brandt. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 30,240.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nick Brandt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007, which sold at auction in May 2018 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,639.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elephant Drinking, Amboseli, 2007 von Nick Brandt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 30.240,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Nick Brandt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elephant drinking, Amboseli, 2007 beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.639,03) versteigert wurde.
