Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Sahara by Nicholas Howey for USD 250.00 (€ 236.92). This price was achieved in the auction Living with Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Howey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2008 with an auction result of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,410.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sahara von Nicholas Howey für USD 250,00 (€ 236,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Living with Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Howey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.410,16).
