In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Part I, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Queen Elizabeth I, Circa 1590 by Nicholas Hilliard. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,704.43), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicholas Hilliard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Highly Important Miniature of Elizabeth I (1533-1603), Queen of England 1558-1603, In Gold Dress With Gold-Embroidered White Sleeves, The Bodice And Sleeves Slashed To Reveal White, The Bodice Richly Embellished With Gold-Set Ruby, Diamond And Drop in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 276,000.00 (€ 409,57

Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Queen Elizabeth I, Circa 1590 von Nicholas Hilliard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.704,43) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
