Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek The Neighbours (The Gossips) by Nikolaus Gysis. The price achieved of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 436,778.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Nikolaus Gysis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Greek Grandfather And Grandson was auctioned for GBP 580,500.00 (€ 812,850.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek The Neighbours (The Gossips) von Nikolaus Gysis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 361.250,00 (€ 436.778,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Nikolaus Gysis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Greek Grandfather And Grandson für GBP 580.500,00 (€ 812.850,18) versteigert.
