Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work A Crowded Vegetable Market by Nicolas Bernard Lépicié. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,634.99), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Bernard Lépicié achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Louis-Philippe, Duc De Valois, Au Berceau in September 2015 with an auction result of EUR 231,000.00.
