In April 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work Shepherds And Their Flock, Soldiers And A Draughtsman Inside Ancient Ruins by Niccolò Codazzi. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,782.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Niccolò Codazzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Capriccio Of The Inside Of A Temple With Ruins Beyond; A Lacustrine Landscape With Classical Ruins in October 2009 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 65,726.14).
