Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-character Poem in Running Script by Ni Yuanlu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. The price achieved of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,696.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ni Yuanlu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Cursive Script in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,049,255.62).
