In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Poem In Running Script by Ni Yuanlu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 354,399.04), 61% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ni Yuanlu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poems In Cursive Script, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,049,255.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Running Script von Ni Yuanlu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 354.399,04) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ni Yuanlu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.049.255,62) versteigert wurde.
