This artwork by Ni Can achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2014. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy After Mi Fu sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,918.91) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ni Can - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes After Song Masters, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 16,180.90).

In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy After Mi Fu für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.918,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ni Can mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes After Song Masters beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 16.180,90) versteigert wurde.
