Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Poet Nguyen Du On His Fishing Boat by Nguyen Tien Chung for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,986.36). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nguyen Tien Chung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies in a Garden in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 141,588.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Poet Nguyen Du On His Fishing Boat von Nguyen Tien Chung für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.986,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Tien Chung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies in a Garden im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 141.588,62).
