Despite a disappointment, a good price for Nguyen Tan Bau
This work of art by Nguyen Tan Bau could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Market Village changed hands for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 12,079.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Market Village is the most expensive artwork by Nguyen Tan Bau that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Nguyen Tan Bau
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Tan Bau konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Market Village für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 12.079,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Market Village das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nguyen Tan Bau, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
