Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nguyen Sang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work CATS sold for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,119.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nguyen Sang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work MAN WITH ROOSTER, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nguyen Sang erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit CATS für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.119,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Sang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit MAN WITH ROOSTER beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) versteigert wurde.
