Sold at the upper estimate price
In April 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction An Important Collection of Vietnamese Paintings Featuring The Philip Ng Collection, which included the work Cats by Nguyen Sang. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 4,944.76), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nguyen Sang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work MAN WITH ROOSTER in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion An Important Collection of Vietnamese Paintings Featuring The Philip Ng Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cats von Nguyen Sang zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 4.944,76) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Sang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit MAN WITH ROOSTER im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
