The work The Cello; The Japanese Stamp by Neil Shawcross was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,657.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Neil Shawcross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Figure in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,239.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Cello; The Japanese Stamp von Neil Shawcross kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.657,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Shawcross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Figure im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.239,71).
