In the Made in Britain auction, the work Francis Bacon, Tate Gallery, May 1985 sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,419.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Libbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,567.13).
