Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A Woodcock In Leaf Litter by Neil Cox. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,333.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Cox - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woodcock amidst silver birch, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,710.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Woodcock In Leaf Litter von Neil Cox zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 900,00 (€ 1.333,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Neil Cox mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woodcock amidst silver birch beobachtet, die im November 2003 für GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.710,81) versteigert wurde.
