This artwork by Neil Armstrong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2010. In the Photographs auction, the work Walk on the Moon, Apollo 11, Astronaut E.E. Aldrin, July 31 1961 sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,481.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Neil Armstrong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Apollo 11: Edwin Aldrin – Man on the Moon. sold at auction in June 2016 with the realized price of EUR 8,125.00.
