Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian, which included the work Portrait Of John Murray Belsches, Later Major-General Belsches (1782-1863) by Nathaniel Plimer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,050.83), 17% above the upper estimate. Other works by Nathaniel Plimer have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,607.16) in July 2010 for the work Unknown.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of John Murray Belsches, Later Major-General Belsches (1782-1863) von Nathaniel Plimer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.050,83) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Nathaniel Plimer haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.607,16) im Juli 2010 für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet.
