Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A portrait miniature of a gentleman, wearing a blue coat with yellow piping over his yellow waistcoat and white chemise by Nathaniel Plimer was sold in the Collections, Including Selected Items From The Estate of Lord Eden of Winton auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 896.00 (€ 1,042.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nathaniel Plimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,607.16).

Die Arbeit A portrait miniature of a gentleman, wearing a blue coat with yellow piping over his yellow waistcoat and white chemise von Nathaniel Plimer wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Collections, Including Selected Items From The Estate of Lord Eden of Winton bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 896,00 (€ 1.042,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nathaniel Plimer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.607,16) versteigert wurde.
