Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nathan Lerner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2017. In the Avant-Garde: Photographs from the Shalom Shpilman Collection auction, the work Eye and Barbed Wire, 1939 sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,403.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nathan Lerner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Light Experiment', which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,034.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nathan Lerner erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Avant-Garde: Photographs from the Shalom Shpilman Collection wurde die Arbeit Eye and Barbed Wire, 1939 für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.403,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nathan Lerner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Light Experiment' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.034,28) versteigert wurde.
