Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Christies in Dubai held the auction Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Peasant scene) by Nasser Chaura. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,679.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nasser Chaura - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,373.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Middle Eastern Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Peasant scene) von Nasser Chaura zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.679,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nasser Chaura mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.373,06) versteigert wurde.
