The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,582.11), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nalini Malani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Manipulating Reality in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 90,066.91).

Die Arbeit Reverie (Portrait of N. Pushpamala) von Nalini Malani kam im September 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.582,11) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nalini Malani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Manipulating Reality im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 90.066,91).
