It achieved a price of INR 250,000.00 (€ 2,939.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nalini Malani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Manipulating Reality in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 90,066.91).

Die Arbeit Hieroglyphs, Lohar Chawl von Nalini Malani kam im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in Mumbai zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von INR 250.000,00 (€ 2.939,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nalini Malani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Manipulating Reality im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 90.066,91).
