Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nakamura Hochu could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Morning glories changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 937.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nakamura Hochu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cranes and sunrise in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 9,987.50 (€ 11,105.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nakamura Hochu konnte im März 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art wechselte die Arbeit Morning glories für USD 1.250,00 (€ 937,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nakamura Hochu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cranes and sunrise im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.987,50 (€ 11.105,86).
