Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Horizontal Bar by Mykola Bilous was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,150.00 (€ 3,705.68). Other works by Mykola Bilous have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May last year by the work Norm at GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,929.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Horizontal Bar von Mykola Bilous im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.150,00 (€ 3.705,68) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Mykola Bilous wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres die Arbeit Norm mit GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.929,08).
