Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Planet Corner/Entrance Of Moenyin Pagoda by Myat Kyawt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 16,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,970.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Myat Kyawt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2018 the work Abstract Dancer was auctioned for HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,048.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Planet Corner/Entrance Of Moenyin Pagoda von Myat Kyawt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 16.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.970,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Myat Kyawt konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2018 die Arbeit Abstract Dancer für HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.048,52) versteigert.
