A top price for Myat Kyawt - as previously expected
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Abstract Dancer by Myat Kyawt. The price achieved of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,048.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Abstract Dancer is the most expensive artwork by Myat Kyawt that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract Dancer von Myat Kyawt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.048,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Abstract Dancer das teuerste Kunstwerk von Myat Kyawt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
