A top price for Augusta Innes Withers - as previously expected
The work Orchidaceae: Cattleya Mossiae by Augusta Innes Withers was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,670.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Orchidaceae: Cattleya Mossiae is the most expensive artwork by Augusta Innes Withers that we have observed at auctions so far.
