Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Marina Figure - Coconut Water by Mr. for HKD 6,048.00 (€ 731.39). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of HKD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 4,656,652.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Marina Figure - Coconut Water von Mr. für HKD 6.048,00 (€ 731,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 4.656.652,17).
