Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Colour of the nude by Moungthai Busamaro was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. The result of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,285.29) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 24,000.00 – 32,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moungthai Busamaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Book, which sold at auction in November 2006 for HKD 48,000.00 (€ 4,654.85).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Colour of the nude von Moungthai Busamaro wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.285,29) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 32.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Moungthai Busamaro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Book beobachtet, die im November 2006 für HKD 48.000,00 (€ 4.654,85) versteigert wurde.
