Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work The Aurelian, A Natural History of English Moths and Butterflies: Two Plates by Moses Harris. Here, the upper estimate of USD 600 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 660 (€ 508). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Moses Harris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,250 (€ 7,608).
