Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Fishermen and boats by Mommie Schwarz. The price achieved of EUR 1,680.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mommie Schwarz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A flower still life (recto)- A landscape (verso) in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 50,190.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishermen and boats von Mommie Schwarz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.680,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mommie Schwarz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A flower still life (recto)- A landscape (verso) im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.190,00.
