Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work In the Garden by Mohammed Omar Khalil. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,256.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mohammed Omar Khalil have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work East + West, New York in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 63,400.00 (€ 43,820.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Garden von Mohammed Omar Khalil zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.256,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mohammed Omar Khalil auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit East + West, New York im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.400,00 (€ 43.820,85).
