Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Women Peering by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction at Bonhams in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,885.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Family, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 32,000.00 (€ 37,081.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Women Peering von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.885,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Family beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 32.000,00 (€ 37.081,04) versteigert wurde.
