Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies held the auction Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art, which included the work Woman in Abaya by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,740.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Family, which sold at auction in November this year for GBP 32,000.00 (€ 37,081.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman in Abaya von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.740,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Family beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für GBP 32.000,00 (€ 37.081,04) versteigert wurde.
