Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat could be acquired at Christies in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art auction, the work Mother and Son changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,402.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Family in November this year with an auction result of GBP 32,000.00 (€ 37,081.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat konnte im November 2021 bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art wechselte die Arbeit Mother and Son für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.402,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Family im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.000,00 (€ 37.081,04).
