Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lovers by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction at Bonhams in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,171.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mohammed Ghani Hikmat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Family in November this year with an auction result of GBP 32,000.00 (€ 37,081.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lovers von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 8.171,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mohammed Ghani Hikmat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Family im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.000,00 (€ 37.081,04).
