Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Leakage by Imran Qureshi. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,162.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Imran Qureshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden Within, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 42,500.00 (€ 49,805.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leakage von Imran Qureshi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.162,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Imran Qureshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Garden Within beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 42.500,00 (€ 49.805,80) versteigert wurde.
