Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled by Imran Qureshi for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,039.19). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Imran Qureshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden Within, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 42,500.00 (€ 49,805.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled von Imran Qureshi für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.039,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Imran Qureshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Garden Within beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 42.500,00 (€ 49.805,80) versteigert wurde.
