Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Study for Jeddah Airport by Mohamed Melehi. The price achieved of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 22,248.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohamed Melehi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Blacks in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 399,000.00 (€ 450,552.72).
