This artwork by Mohamed Melehi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in December this year. In the A Moroccan Winter auction, the work Allah - 1978 sold for MAD 131,200.00 (€ 12,002.75) - well above the upper estimate of MAD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohamed Melehi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Blacks in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 399,000.00 (€ 450,552.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 87 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mohamed Melehi erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Moroccan Winter wurde die Arbeit Allah - 1978 für MAD 131.200,00 (€ 12.002,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von MAD 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mohamed Melehi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Blacks im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 399.000,00 (€ 450.552,72).
