Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Scenery from Montmartre with Sacre Coeur by Mogens Vantore was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,600.00 (€ 214.64). Admittedly, works by Mogens Vantore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A street scene in Montmartre, Sacre Coeur beyond in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,026.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Scenery from Montmartre with Sacre Coeur von Mogens Vantore im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.600,00 (€ 214,64) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mogens Vantore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A street scene in Montmartre, Sacre Coeur beyond im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.026,25).
