Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Disputed Seats by Misheck Masamvu was sold in the Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain auction at Bonhams in Paris in November last year. The price achieved of EUR 8,925.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Misheck Masamvu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Natural Selection, 2017, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 24,390.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Disputed Seats von Misheck Masamvu wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.925,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Misheck Masamvu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Natural Selection, 2017 beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 24.390,00 versteigert wurde.
